Box Score BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Flagler College men's lacrosse team earned their first win of the season against Lynn University, 14-8, this evening at Bobby Campbell Stadium.
The Saints advance to 1-1 on the season while the Fighting Knights drop to 0-1. The Saints will return to action to host current No. 2 University Tampa on Feb. 14 at 1 pm.
A strong defensive front held the Fighting Knights to two points in the first half of the game.
Ty Scheckenbach led the defense for the Saints as he registered two caused turnovers and three ground balls. Putting together a full team effort, nine Saints registered a caused turnover. Freshman Tag Deluca was the focal point of the Saints face-off, going 9-17 and picking up seven ground balls in the process. In goal,
Wade Lamon finished with 12 saves while also picking up six ground balls.
Offensively, nine Saints find one point with four Saints finding four or more points.
Micah Quinn took the front of the scoring with five goals and one assist.
Ben Nyberg and
Griffin Moore continued the scoring as each found four goals. The team's key distributor,
Trace McDonald dished out five assists.
