DAHLONEGA, Ga. – The University of North Georgia out-scored Flagler College 24-8 in the last 6:26 of the game for a 77-57 victory in a Peach Belt Conference men's basketball game Saturday afternoon at the UNG Convocation Center.
North Georgia won its seventh game in a row to improve to 18-6 overall and 12-6 in the Peach Belt. Flagler dropped to 15-11 overall and 9-9 in conference play. The Saints have two games left to play in the regular season, both at home. Flagler is tied for sixth place with Georgia Southwestern State University, a team the Saints swept this year. Up next for Flagler is Clayton State University this Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at Flagler Gymnasium.
Hoku Fisher made the second of two free throws to get the Saints to within four points (53-49) with 7:11 remaining. However, the Nighthawks would go on to score the next 11 points to pull away.
Tymoteusz Pszczola scored 11 points and grabbed seven rebounds for Flagler.
Rahdir Hicks added 11 points.
A.J. White led all scorers with 22 points, and he added six assists, four rebounds, and three steals to his line. Jameel Rideout and JoJo Peterson each added 12 points.
North Georgia induced 13 Flagler turnovers and converted them into 23 points.
