ST. AUGUSTINE - The No. 18 (United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association) Flagler College men's lacrosse team defeated Florida Southern College 11-8 this evening at the Flagler Lacrosse Field.
Expanding on their now two win streak, the Saints elevated to 3-2 on the season while the Mocs fell to 0-4. The Saints will head to Emmanuel University for their next match on Wednesday, Feb. 25 at 3 p.m.
Through five games, Flagler has not allowed a team to score more than eight points against them. In a all around team effort, nine Saints caused a turnover while
Brendan Watson and Connor Delz caused two. For the third time this season,
Wade Lamon registered 10 or more saves, finding 11 this game.
Trace McDonald continues to command the offense as he and
Ben Nyberg registered a hat trick. McDonald also set a match high three assists. Freshman standouts Dempsey Gibbs and
Will Linko continued to be key contributors. Gibbs finished with two goals while Linko had a goal and two assists.
Micah Quinn and
Griffin Moore were the final saints to score a goal while each notching an assist.
