WINTER PARK, Fla. - The Intercollegiate Tennis Association No. 4 Flagler College women's tennis team dropped their first away match of the season against undefeated Rollins College 5-2 this afternoon at the Tennis and Golf Center.

The Saints start their season off moving to 1-1 while the Tars rise to 3-0. The Saints will compete in the ITA DII Indoor National Championship this weekend, with their opening match against current No. 5 University of West Alabama on Friday, Feb. 20 at the University of Indianapolis.

A hard fought doubles play saw court No. 1 featuring Eryka Kruk and Elena Ondobo be the lone pair to find a win. Kruk and Ondobo defeated Alyssa Novoa and Amina Taibi 6-4.

Singles came down to three sets for three matches. The only Saints to find a win was Sofia Balsera and Ornella Lomenzo. On court No. 5, Balsera defeated Lorin Tilipman 4-6, 6-1 and 7-5. Lomenzo played on court No. 6, defeating Amina Abdulloeva 7-5, 2-6 and 6-3.
