AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference has announced its weekly honors on Monday afternoon, and Flagler women's golfer Kalia Polete has been named PBC Women's Golfer of the Week. The honor is the second of the fall season for the junior out of Fleming Island, Florida.

Polete wrapped up an impressive fall season last week by winning the Flagler Fall Slam. The junior shot a 73 and a 70 on day one to lead the pack at one-under par. After day two action was canceled due to wet course conditions, Polete was crowned the individual champion, the first of her career at Flagler. As a group, the Saints saw three players finish in the top five to take home their second straight team title.

Polete is in her first season in the Ancient City after transferring from Daytona State College. Polete finished in the top three in all four fall tournaments and ranks No. 5 in the nation, according to the Scoreboard Powered by Clippd National Rankings.

The weekly honor is the second of the fall for Polete after she was named PBC Golfer of the Week on October 5.

With the fall season over, the Saints will be back in action this spring. Fans should stay tuned for more information on the spring schedule.
