Misch sets NCAA provisional time at the Alachua County Invitational

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Abigail Misch led the Flagler College track team this weekend to a first place finish in her respective race at the Alachua County Invitational, held at the 
Alachua County Sports Complex at Celebration Pointe this afternoon.

Competing events spread across the two day meet, the Saints took on the 200 meter, 400 meter, 800 meter, 60 meter hurdles and the 3000 meter run. Among the competition was Division I schools such as but not limited to, Florida International University, Florida Atlantic University and University of Central Florida.

Placing a new career best, Misch set a NCAA provisional time in the 800 meter run with a 2:09.02 finish, earning herself first overall at the meet. Misch now holds the fifth fastest 800 meter time of the season in Division II.

Dominating the whole race, in her season debut, Zoe Marchant placed fifth 800 meter, with a new personal best 2:14.05. Rounding out the top 10 was Clemence Treguer who ran a personal best 2:18.35.

Highlighting the sprints was Sophia Paul and Zoe Zinnie who took 18 and 19 overall in the 60 meter hurdles. Paul wrapped up her race in 9.74, followed closely behind by Zinnie who finished in 9.88. In her collegiate career, this is Paul's first time running the 60 meter hurdles.

In the 3K, Hope Siner was the lead Saint in the pack. Notching a 10th place finish, Siner set a new personal record with a 10:20.89 finish. Sophie May and Sophia Pauling followed closed behind, placing 13 and 14 respectively. May set her new standard at 10:32.49 while Pauling set her's at 10:37.97.

The Saints will return to the track next week on Jan. 31 to Feb. 1 for the Legends of Alachua County Invite.
