MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. –
Tymoteusz Pszczola and
Rahdir Hicks combined to score 30 points, grab 12 rebounds, and dish out six assists but it wasn't enough as Flagler College lost to Georgia College & State University 74-67 in a Peach Belt Conference men's basketball game Saturday afternoon at the Centennial Center.
Flagler dropped to 10-7 overall and 4-5 in the Peach Belt. Georgia College improved to 11-6 overall and 6-3 in conference play. Up next for the Saints is Clayton State University on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Morrow, Georgia.
The Saints, who had trailed nearly the entire game, erased a 53-44 Bobcat lead with a 13-2 spurt over 4:22 midway through the second half. Hicks capped off the run with a three-pointer with 6:47 left to go to give Flagler a 57-55 lead. That was Flagler's first lead in the game since they were 55 seconds into the contest.
After a Pszczola trey tied the game at 60 with 5:39 left, GCSU pulled away with a 12-4 run. C.J. Jones ended the spurt with a short jumper and a three-pointer.
Pszczola finished with 15 points, eight rebounds, and three assists for Flagler. Hicks added 15 points, four rebounds, three assists, and had two steals.
Camden Andrews tallied 14 points.
The Saints made 13 three-pointers and Pszczola led the way with four.
Khalil Greene scored a game high 24 points for the Bobcats. Jones added 11 points and tallied five assists. Aidan Kudlas came off the bench to provide 10 points.
Georgia College shot 51.1 percent from the field, which included a 59.1 percent mark in the second half alone.
