GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The Flagler College women's track team completed their season opener at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational, held at the Alachua County Sports Complex at Celebration Pointe this afternoon.

Seeing action in four events, the Saints faced a variety of collegiate institutions such as Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Florida Institute of Technology and Southeastern University. The Saints competed in the 60, 200, 400 and 3000 meter races.

Cruising as a pack, freshman Rhiannon Hill led Flagler with a second place finish in the 3K. A photo finish put Clemence Treguer over Chloe Smith for third and fourth place, with Treguer running a 10:23.65 and Smith a 10:23.66.

Making her indoor debut, freshman Sophia Paul cracked the top-10 in the 200 where she ran a 27.52. In the 400, freshman Charlotte Wilson also cracked the top-10 with a 1:10.06 finish.

The Saints will return to the track next week on Jan. 23 and 24 for the Alachua County Invitational.
