ST. AUGUSTINE –
Hoku Fisher scored a game high 18 points in Flagler College's 77-67 loss to Lander University in a Peach Belt Conference men's basketball game Wednesday night at Flagler Gym.
Flagler dropped to 10-6 overall and 4-4 in the Peach Belt. The Saints lost their first home game of the season (6-1). Lander won its second game in a row and improved to 11-4 overall and 6-2 in conference play. Flagler takes on Georgia College & State University on Saturday at Milledgeville at 3:30 p.m.
The Saints opened the game on a quick 8-1 run, but Lander rallied back to take a 17-14 lead after a pair of three-pointers by Tommy Moore, along with a free throw. The Bearcats never trailed again.
Flagler was limited to a 33.3 percentage from the field in the first half, including 21.4 percent (3-14) from three-point range. Lander held a 40-28 lead at the half.
Rahdir Hicks added 10 points and eight rebounds for the Saints.
Mason Manning finished with eight points and five rebounds.
Flagler grabbed 12 offensive rebounds that led to 14 second chance points.
Jacob Daniels led the Bearcats with 15 points, six rebounds, and four assists. Greyson Pritzl added 13 points and five rebounds while Dylan Canoville came off the bench to supply 10 points. Terry Leonard Jr. grabbed a game high 10 rebounds to go along with nine points.
