AUGUSTA, Ga. – Flagler College's
Ryan Rivas was selected as the Peach Belt Conference's Goalkeeper of the Week, respectively, according to a release this afternoon by conference officials.
This is the third consecutive week Rivas has received the award.
Rivas turned in two clean sheets last week and helped lead Flagler to a 1-0-1 record. The Fort Lauderdale, Florida native recorded seven saves. He finished with five saves in a 0-0 tie against Lander and then added two saves in a 1-0 win over Middle Georgia.
For the season, Rivas has a 0.75 goals against average and has an 81.2 save percentage. Through eight matches, Rivas has five shutouts, including three in a row. He is second in the nation in shutouts.
Flagler takes on Georgia Southwestern State University tonight at 7 p.m. at Americus.
