ST. AUGUSTINE – The Flagler College men's golf team is in fourth place after carding a 3-under par 285 at the 15
th annual Jay Jennison Cup, which was played at the King & Bear course at the World Golf Village (par 72; 7,279 yards).
The second round has not been completed and will be resumed at 8 a.m. tomorrow with the final round to follow.
Nic Eberhard leads the Flagler contingent with a 2-under 70, which is good for a tie for sixth place. He started with eight consecutive pars before closing the front nine with a birdie. Eberhard rattled off four consecutive pars to start the back nine and then sank a birdie putt on No. 14. He made par on the final four holes.
Rollins College leads the 18-team field with a 6-under 282. They hold a one-stroke lead over the University of Tampa who carded a 5-under 283. Barry University is in third place with a 4-under 284. Eckerd College and Lynn University follow Flagler in fifth place with a one-over 289.
Eduardo Matarazzo of Barry leads the 96-man field with a 5-under 67. Jules Haessig of Rollins and Simon Roessler of Lynn are tied for second place one shot back.
Dylan Mason and
Masen McKain of Flagler's "A" team are tied for 13
th place with a 1-under 71.
Rocco Randazzo carded a 1-over 73 and is tied for 29
th place.
Julio Goti rounded out the team with a 4-over 76.
Grant Fisher leads the Flagler "B" team with an even par 72. He had an eagle on the par 5, 548-yard 14
th hole.
Santino Berengeno shot a 2-over 74 while
Matthew French and
PJ Herron are tied at 3-over.
Lucas Escudero carded a 6-over 78 today.
