MELBOURNE, Fla. –
Paige Churchill scored the equalizer in the 59
th minute as Flagler College played to a 1-1 draw with Florida Tech in a non-conference women's soccer match Saturday night at Rick Stottler Field.
Flagler is now 1-1-1 this season. Florida Tech moved to 2-1-1. The Saints visit Lynn University on Wednesday at 5 p.m. at Bobby Campbell Stadium.
Grace Simon sent a long ball down the right side of the field with Churchill and
Carrie Consolino were in pursuit with three other Panthers. Consolino dispossessed the ball from a Florida Tech player, and it went to Churchill who sent a left-footed shot inside the far post.
Ada Geier scored an unassisted goal for the Panthers in the 26
th minute.
Consolino led the Saints with four shots. Katie Ormerod led the Panthers with four shots.
Madi Narducci tallied five saves for Flagler while Kaitlin Sinkler recorded three for Florida Tech.
The Panthers out-shot the Saints 18-9 and held a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks. Each team committed nine fouls.
