NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Flagler College women's track & field team and athlete
Taylor Stone were named United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team and Athlete, according to organization Monday afternoon.
A team's full NCAA roster must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher to qualify for this recognition. Athletes who are nominated for this recognition must meet a list of criteria. At a minimum, an athlete must have a 3.25 or higher GPA on a 4.0 scale. Performance-wise, an athlete must have a top 50 qualifying time in the winter or spring season or participated in either national championships.
At the completion of the 2024-25 academic year, Stone held a 3.78 GPA with an economics major. During the winter season, Stone competed in the NCAA Indoor National Championship in both the mile and 3K. During the spring, Stone ran a 4:21.45 in the 1500 meter run, placing her at No. 12 in the nation. In the 800 meter run, Stone finished at No. 32 with a 2:09.36. As a team, the Saints have a 3.37 cumulative GPA.
