AUGUSTA, Ga. – Flagler College's
Ben Stubbs was selected as the Peach Belt Conference's Pitcher of the Week for the period ending April 6, according to a release by conference officials this afternoon.
This is the third time this season a Flagler pitcher has won the weekly award -
Daniel Fischer on March 10 and
Drew Rosenberg on March 17.
The Macon, Georgia native tossed six innings and allowed an unearned run on two hits in a 12-1 victory over Claflin University last Friday night. Stubbs retired the last 11-of-14 batters he faced.
Stubbs is second in the PBC in earned run average (2.60) and is third in strikeouts (64) and sixth in opponent batting average (.236).
