Saints show out at the Eagle Invite

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - In their outdoor opener, the Flagler College men's track and field team saw multiple podium appearances at the Eagle Invite, hosted by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Saturday afternoon.

Competing against the Saints were schools such as 2025 PBC indoor champions, Embry-Riddle, Florida Tech, Southeastern University, Lynn University, and Albany State University.

The Saints saw the podium in multiple events; the 4x100, 400 meter hurdles, 110 meter hurdles, 800 meter dash and the 1500 meter run. Will Stone went 2-2 on his races, taking first in the 1500 and the 800. In the 800, Stone finished in 1:53.02, one second faster than second place. In the 1500, Stone finished in 3:45.88, four seconds faster than fellow Saint Brandon Knieja. In his only race of the day, Knieja finished his 1500 in 3:49.91.

Nate Watson, Ryan Sen, Caden Vann and Malachi South placed second in the 4x100, with a final time of 42.24. Vann collected his second silver medal today, taking the 110 meter hurdle in 15.17.Trystan Capille was the final Saint to finish at the top. Finishing in 55.35, Capille placed second in the 400 meter hurdles by a narrow .07 of a second.
