LAKELAND, Fla. – No. 4 (SCOREBOARD Division II team ranking) Flagler College finished in third place at the rain-shortened 36-hole Lady Moc Classic, which wrapped up on Tuesday. The Saints shot an 18-over par 594 (300-294) at the Grasslands Golf and Country Club (par 72; 6,105 yards).

Stella Jelinek, ranked No. 7 by SCOREBOARD, had her fIfth top 10 finish this year, out of six tournaments, as she carded a 1-under 143 (75-68) to finish in fourth place. She recorded six birdies, including five in the final round today. No. 11 Henriette Stranda finished in a tie for eighth place with a 2-over 146 (71-75).

Top-ranked Anderson University finished atop the 18-team field with a 12-over 588 (299-289) and edged No. 8 Lynn University by one stroke. The Fighting Knights carded a 13-over 589 (300-289). No. 2 Wingate University followed Flagler in fourth place with a 20-over 596 (298-298). No. 5 Dallas Baptist University finished in fifth place with a 21-over 597 (301-296). Twelve of the 18 teams in the field were nationally ranked.    

Jess Brown of Wingate and Amelia Ruiz of Lynn tied for first place with a 4-under 140. The tie was broken by a scorecard playoff. Brown won the tiebreaker with a score of 12 on the last three holes while Ruiz had a 13. Ana Maria Jimenez of the University of Tampa finished in third place with a 2-under 142 (74-68). Iza Stahlevi of Saint Leo finished in fifth place with an even par 144 (67-77). There were 104 golfers in the field.

Bhoomi Jagtap finished in a tie for 26^th place with a 7-over 151 (76-75). Victoria Veator, who played as an individual, carded a 9-over 153 (76-77) to finish in a tie for 35^th place. Jordyn Hodgson shot a 10-over 154 (78-76) to finish in a tie for 41^st place while Tabitha Hanely tied for 67^th place with a 14-over 158 (80-78).

Flagler will play in the Emerald Coast Classic March 9-11 at the Sandestin Resort & Club.
