Cassidy Bloom led the Saints to their sixth consecutive win after defeating Saint Leo University 3-0 (25-13, 25-21, 25-16) this evening at the Marion Bowman Activities Center.
The Saints elevate to 14-11 overall with this win while the Lions dropped to 1-15. This week, the Saints will return home to face Augusta University on Friday at 6 pm in the Flagler Gymnasium.
Bloom led the Saints offense while tying her career high in kills with 15 in a three set match. Bloom also set a new career high in hitting percentage with a .636.
Clare Sheedy finished with another match high in assists, tallying 30.
Defensively, the Saints did not let Lions have double digit kills individually. Sheedy finished with a match high eight digs. In blocks,
Gracie Fleming led the Saints with four while
Meredith Dixon found two.
The Lions' offense was led by Molly Chappell who registered eight kills. Tajma Muharemovic had a team high four digs and 12 assists. Brielle Kallberg finished with two solo blocks. In aces, the Lions had three players finish with one, Anastasia Azzan, Chappell and Muharemovic.
