ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - Abigail Misch finished in 24th place to help lead Flagler College to a 12th place team finish at the Lewis Crossover, held by Lewis University this morning.
The Saints competed in a pool of 36 teams. Among the 36 teams were nine ranked institutes according to the most recent United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) national poll. Among the ranked teams in attendance was No. 9 Lewis, No. 10 Walsh University, No. 11 Fort Lewis College, No. 14 Pittsburg State University and No. 15 California State University, Chico.
Misch was the lone Saint to finish in the top 25 with a new season best, 22:04.09.
Chloe Smith finished second for the Saints and 46th overall with a new season best 22:24.89.
Kinga Borowska was the last Saint to round out the top three with her first finish of the season, placing 95th in 22:59.93.
Clemence Treguer and
Marie Meyer-Piton finished as a pack, occupying 126th and 128th, respectively. Treguer finished in 23:20.43 while Meyer-Piton finished in 23:20.65. Rhiannon Hil was the last Saint to score points for Flagler as she set a new personal best 23:43.83, earning 161st place.
The Saints will return to action on Oct. 17 to compete at the Ed Holloway Classic, hosted by Florida Southern College.
