ST. AUGUSTINE –
Marley Middlebrooks recorded her seventh double-double with 10 kills and 10 digs while
Gracie Fleming added 10 more kills to pace a balanced scoring attack for Flagler College in a sweep (25-10, 25-16, 25-22) of Georgia College & State University in a Peach Belt Conference volleyball match Saturday afternoon at Flagler Gym.
Flagler improved to 9-11 overall and 3-2 in the Peach Belt. Georgia College dropped to 11-7 overall and 2-3 in conference play. The Saints host USC Aiken on Friday and Saturday.
Fleming finished with a .412 hitting percentage for the Saints as she had three errors on 17 swings.
Cassidy Bloom added nine kills and hit .381 while
Katherine Rank contributed eight kills.
Clare Sheedy tallied 39 assists. The Saints hit .371 as a team with 48 kills and 12 errors on 97 swings.
Kaylee Weeks led the Bobcats with seven kills. Liv Diaz led with seven digs and Lexi Baum tallied 11 assists.
Flagler opened the first set on a 14-1 run.
