ST. AUGUSTINE –
Andres Morral and
Jackson Kirila each scored a goal as Flagler College played to a 2-2 draw against the University of Tampa Tuesday afternoon at Saints Field.
Flagler is now 3-0-1 on the season while Tampa is 2-1-1. Flagler opens Peach Belt Conference play on Saturday against Clayton State University at 4 p.m. at Saints Field.
The Spartans scored the lone goal of the first half, but the Saints got the equalizer in the first 30 seconds of the second half. Morral corralled the ball just over the midfield line and dribbled in. He sent a touch pass to
Luke Williams at the top of the box, who used the side of his foot to reconnect with Morral who was charging toward the left post. Morral slotted a shot over the diving keeper's head.
Flagler grabbed the lead in the 66
th minute.

Jackson Kirila, who shed his defender and had an easy goal inside the left post.
Jack Hartford tied the game for the second time as he had a two-on-one with the Flagler keeper as he received a touch pass from Luca Bergmann to score on an open goal.
Ryan Rivas tallied one save for the Saints while Alex Hare finished with six for the Spartans.
Flagler out-shot Tampa 16-9 and held a slim 7-5 advantage in corner kicks.
