TEMPE, Ariz. – Flagler College's
Baptiste Mercier and
Jacopo Denitto were selected to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-America team Wednesday afternoon.

Jonas Piibor. "Only a select few have accomplished this honor and they should be proud of themselves."
The All-American honor is given to student-athletes that finish in the top 20 of the final ITA singles rankings and the top 10 in the last doubles rankings.
Mercier and Denitto are the first Flagler players to earn the honor since Luca Bolla in 2020. They join this list of Flagler All-Americans in the NCAA Division II era David Cotrone (2010-11), Gino Ramirez (2010-11), Jose Martinez (2014-15), Bruno Padilha (2015), Kevin Gonzalez (2016), and Bolla (2020).
Mercier finished the year with a No. 12 ranking in singles. The Nimes, France native produced a 34-10 overall record that included a 19-4 mark in dual matches. Mercier was the Peach Belt Conference Co-Player of the Year and earned first team all-conference accolades in singles and doubles. He was the runner-up at the ITA Southeast Regional in singles and then went on to win the ITA Cup and advanced the ITA Cup Super Bowl semifinals.
Denitto was ranked No. 14 in the final ITA singles national ranking. The Lecce, Italy native completed the year with an overall record of 25-17, which included a 15-8 mark in dual matches. Denitto posted a 5-2 record against nationally-ranked competition. He earned first team all-conference honors in singles and was the ITA Southeast Region singles champion.
