Flagler finishes in 13th place at Bobcat Invitational

EATONTON, Ga. – Flagler College finished in 13th place with a 46-over par 886 (292-299-295) at the 54-hole Bobcat Invitational, which concluded this afternoon at the Cuscowilla on Lake Oconee (par 70; 6,701 yards).

No. 6 (clippd Division II Top 25) Georgia Southwestern State University topped the 15-team field with an 11-over 851 (287-282-279). The Hurricanes turned in the best round of the day, a 1-under 279, to help them move from a tie for fourth place to start the day to winning the team title.  No. 1 University of North Georgia and No. 10 Florida Southern College finished in a tie for second with an 18-over 858. No. 19 University of West Florida carded a 20-over 860 (277-293-290) to finish in fourth place. No. 15 Nova Southeastern University finished in fifth place with a 24-over 864 (292-291-281).

Will Chambless of North Georgia led the 81-man field with a 2-under 208 (69-70-69). Adam Alvarez of Florida Southern College finished in second, one stroke behind, with a 1-under 209 (68-70-71). There was a three-way tie for third place with an even par 210.

Nic Eberhard led all Flagler players with an 8-over 218 (75-71-72) and finished in a tie for 25th place. He finished with 35 pars. Roo Fenwick tied for 37th place with an 11-over 221 (73-76-72). Joel Petersson finished with a 12-over 222 (72-77-73) and tied for 44th place. He was third in the field on par-3s with a 2.92 scoring average. Abe Forsyth tied for 59th place with a 15-over 225 (72-75-78). Tomas Cavanagh carded a 29-over 239 (81-79-79).
