NEWPORT NEWS, Va. –  Saints from the women's track and field team traveled to the CNU Qualifier & Combined Events to race on Sunday afternoon. 
 
Taylor Stone competed in the 800-meter for Flagler, pushing to get a faster time at this last chance meet before the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships.
 
Stone hit her own personal-best time that earned her a first place finish. Her time of 2:12.51 was converted to 2:11.00 for track size and hit the NCAA provisional mark which placed her at 24th in the nation. 
 
The Saints will compete in The Spartan Classic on March 1 in Tampa, Fla.
