AUGUSTA, Ga. – Five Flagler College women's soccer players were named to the All-Peach Belt Conference teams while Andrea Fernandez took home the league's offensive player of the year award for the fourth year in a row, along with earning the Select Sport Gold Ball Award for the fourth time in as many years as announced Thursday morning by conference officials.

Fernandez became the first women's soccer player in the history of the Peach Belt to be named offensive player of the year (formerly the player of the year). Kristin Burton of Armstrong Atlantic State University was a three-time player of the year in 2006, 2008, and 2009.

She was joined by Cisel Akguel, Paige Churchill, Samantha St. Pierre and Grace Simon on the first team. Akguel also picked up freshman of the year accolades, and is the fourth Flagler player to win that award in the last six years - Josefine Nilssen (2019), Fernandez (2021), and Churchill (2023).

Fernandez leads the Saints with 53 points as she has scored 20 goals with 13 assists. In conference play, the Pozoblanco, Spain native scored 13 goals to lead the league and she secured her fourth straight gold ball award, which signifies the leading goal scorer in conference games during the regular season. She leads the PBC in goals per match (1.33), assists per match (0.87) and points per match (3.5) as well as being second in game-winning goals per match (0.3). Fernandez was the PBC Player of the Week on Oct. 28.

Akguel scored 10 goals and tallied five assists for 25 points. The Kamen, Germany native is fifth in the PBC in goals per match (0.7), 10th in assists per match (0.3), and fourth in points per match (1.7).

Churchill received her second all-conference honor. She has scored nine goals with eight assists for 26 points. The Tallahassee, Florida native is seventh in the PBC in goals per match (0.6), fourth in assists per match (0.5) and third in points per match (1.7).

St. Pierre earned all-conference honors for the second-consecutive season. The Granby, Connecticut native has started all 15 matches and scored four goals with 10 assists. St. Pierre is second in the PBC in assists per set (0.7) and is ninth in points per set (1.2).

Fernandez leads the nation in assists per match while St. Pierre is third, and Churchill is ninth. Fernandez also leads the country in goals per match and points per match. Her 20 goals and 13 assists also leads the nation. St. Pierre is fifth in assists.

Simon earned all-conference honors in her first season with the Crimson & Gold. The Barry University transfer and Brighton, Michigan native anchored a defense that recorded four shutouts. She has started in all 15 matches so far and logged 1,350 minutes.

Flagler takes on the University of North Georgia on Friday at 7:30 p.m. in the semifinal round of the PBC Tournament at Columbus, Georgia.
