Strong final round nets second place finish for Flagler; Two Saints finish in top 10

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Flagler College men's golf team shot a 5-under par 279 in today's final round to finish in second place with a 4-under 848 (288-281-279) at the Shark Invitational, which concluded today at the Grande Oaks Golf Club (par 71; 6,750 yards).

The final round tally was the lowest for the Saints this season and the lowest since posting a 272 in first round of the Bearcat Classic, March 4, 2024.

Nic Eberhard and Dylan Mason each tied for 10th place with a 2-under 211. Eberhard turned in a season-low 3-under 68 today to move up 10 spots on the leaderboard while Mason's 4-under 67 was also a season-low and allowed him to vault 12 spots. He tied for third with 13 birdies.  

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University cruised to the team title as they led the 12-team field with a 15-under 837 (260-289-288). They finished 11 strokes ahead of Flagler. The host school, Nova Southeastern University, wrapped up in third place with a 1-under 851. Barry University finished in third place with a 3-over 855 (281-295-279).

Ethan Gough of the Barry "B" team led the 61-man field with an 8-under 205 (64-70-71). Tiago Barni of Embry-Riddle and Drew Campbell of Eckerd tied for second place with a 6-under 207.

Rocco Randazzo finished in a tie for 13th place a 1-under 212 (71-68-73), a career-low score for a 54-hole tournament. Joel Petersson shot a 2-over 215 (71-73-71) and finished in a tie for 21st place. Grant Fisher rounded out the team with a 21-over 234 (74-78-82).
