OAKWOOD, GA. - The Flagler College women's cross country team looks to capture their seventh consecutive Peach Belt Conference title. The race will be held on Saturday, Oct. 26 at the University of North Georgia Cross Country Course.

Kennesaw State University holds the league record for titles won in a row with seven (1994-2000) and it won nine titles altogether.

In program history, the Saints have won the title seven times in total, while capturing the past six years in a row. For the past two years, a Flagler athlete has won the individual championship. Head coach Brian Beil returns seven all-conference runners from last year's team.

With 15 athletes permitted to run, expect to see Taylor Stone, Monqiue Whiteman, Chloe Smith, Enola Savel, Abby Misch and Clemence Treguer take the course. Stone currently holds the fastest 5K time in the Peach Belt this season at 17:59.9, 14 seconds faster than the second racer. Whiteman, the 2022 PBC individual champion has the fifth fastest 5K time in the league at 18:32.9. This squad of six all ran at the Live in Lou Classic on Oct. 5 where they placed 20th against a stacked pool of Division I opponents.

Seniors Marissa Kempf and Maddi Hood are also expected to be in attendance. Last year Kempf and Hood both raced her career best at the conference championship, at 18:39.8 for Kempf and 18:45.4 for Hood.

In her first race as a Saint, Summer Kingston came in second place at the Georgia College & State University Invitational, followed by Zoie Marchant in third place. Ten racers were placed in the top 15 for the meet. Franzi Martens, Hope Siner, Jessie Gates, Bella Sibbrell and Mallory Robinson are expected to attend the conference championship after their performances this season.

Sibbrell placed first for the Saints at the UNF 5K Cross Country Challenge then smashed that time at the Upstate Invite by 47 seconds. Robinson placed first for the Saints at the Upstate Invite.
