ST. AUGUSTINE-
Andrea Fernandez scored a goal and added an assist to help Flagler College to a 2-0 victory over USC Aiken in a Peach Belt Conference women's soccer match Wednesday evening at Saints Field.

The Saints move up to 4-2-3 overall and 2-2-2 in the Peach Belt. The Pacers drop to 2-8-2 overall and 1-4-0 in the PBC. The Saints will travel to Clayton State University for another PBC match on Oct. 19 at 1 p.m.

Samantha St. Pierre broke a scoreless tie when she followed up Fernandez' initial shot in the 60
th minute. Fernandez' free kick was saved, but the ball was loose and St. Pierre buried the shot in the back of the net.

Fernandez went on to score off a penalty kick. She now has nine goals for the season.

Madi Narducci, in her first collegiate start, aided the Saints to a shutout by making two saves. Alisha Avila made nine saves for the Bearcats.

Flagler out-shot USC Aiken 22-6 and both teams had six corner kicks.
