ST. AUGUSTINE- Andrea Fernandez scored a goal and added an assist to help Flagler College to a 2-0 victory over USC Aiken in a Peach Belt Conference women's soccer match Wednesday evening at Saints Field.
 
The Saints move up to 4-2-3 overall and 2-2-2 in the Peach Belt. The Pacers drop to 2-8-2 overall and 1-4-0 in the PBC. The Saints will travel to Clayton State University for another PBC match on Oct. 19 at 1 p.m.
 
Samantha St. Pierre broke a scoreless tie when she followed up Fernandez' initial shot in the 60^th minute. Fernandez' free kick was saved, but the ball was loose and St. Pierre buried the shot in the back of the net.
 
Fernandez went on to score off a penalty kick. She now has nine goals for the season.
 
Madi Narducci, in her first collegiate start, aided the Saints to a shutout by making two saves. Alisha Avila made nine saves for the Bearcats.
 
Flagler out-shot USC Aiken 22-6 and both teams had six corner kicks.
