ST. AUGUSTINE -
Paige Churchill's two goals helped lead No.11 (United Soccer Coaches Division II Top 25) Flagler College to a 4-0 win over Georgia College & State University in a Peach Belt Conference women's soccer match Saturday afternoon at Saints Field.
The Saints now sit 5-0-3 overal and 2-0-2 in PBC play. The Bobcats drop to 4-3-2 overall and 1-1-1 in the PBC.
Churchill was able to give the Saints an early lead scoring her first goal, and the first goal of the game, off an assist from
Maddie Poole, finishing with a shot right between the goalie's legs in the 16
th minute of the game. This was Churchill's third goal of the season.
Andrea Fernandez wasn't too far behind scoring the Saints second goal soon after. This goal, assisted by Poole, allowed her to break the program's record for career goals. Fernandez now has 45 goals in her career. She has scored a team-high eight goals this year.
The Saints ended the first half leading 2-0 and continued on in the second half scoring two more. Flagler got one from Churchill and the other from
Presley Ancheta, which was her first collegiate goal..

Henley Grunst recorded her fifth shutout this season, finishing the game with four saves. Bobcats goalie Kassidy Fortin garnered one save.
The Saints will return on Oct. 4 at 6 p.m. to as they take on Barry University at home.
