ST. AUGUSTINE – The Flagler College men's golf team finished in a tie for seventh place with a 9-over par 873 (291-291-291) at the 13^th annual Jay Jennison Cup, which was concluded Tuesday afternoon at Slammer & Squire (par 72; 6,939 yards).

Nic Eberhard led the Saints team with a 9-under 207 (70-65-72) and finished in a tie for third place. The 207 is a career-best 54-hole score and his second round 65 was a career-best round. Eberhard collected 15 birdies in the tournament to go along with 33 pars.  

Palm Beach Atlantic led the 13-team field wire-to-wire with a 23-under 841 (275-282-284). They edged the defending tournament champion, Lenoir-Rhyne University (285-276-286) by six strokes. Lynn University (850), Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (858), and the University of Mount Olive (860) rounded out the top five.

Trey Tesiero of Palm Beach Atlantic and Eric Boutwell of the University of Montevallo finished in a tie for first place with a 10-under 206. Tesiero won the first playoff hole as he made par on the par-4, 311-yard No. 14 hole.

Roo Fenwick, playing as an individual, finished in a tie for 14^th place with a 3-under 213 (71-70-72). Gabriele Romani turned in a career-best 1-under 215 (73-74-68) and finished in a tie for 20^th place. His 68 in the today's final round was a career best. Joel Petersson tied finished in 30^th place with a 4-over 220. Nic Whittaker (221), Abe Forsyth (224), and Franco Piovano (224) closed out the team.

Up next for the Saints is the Cateechee Fall Invitational (Oct. 2-3) at the Cateechee Golf Club in Hartwell, Georgia.
