ST. AUGUSTNE – The Flagler College men's lacrosse team will play host to one-half of the Peach Belt Conference Tournament this weekend at the Flagler Lacrosse Field.
The first-round game between No. 6-seed Shorter University and No. 3-seed University of Montevallo will be played Friday night at 7 p.m. The winner of that game advances to the semifinal round and will take on No. 2-seed Flagler at 4 p.m. The highest remaining seed left in the tourney after the semifinal round will host the championship game on May 6.
Fans are recommended to purchase their tickets on-line before coming to the field. Tickets can be purchased at
peachbeltconference.org/sports/2020/10/14/tickets.aspx. Adults (ages 6 and over) are $10. Students with a valid ID from PBC or a PBC lacrosse school and any child under 5 will be admitted free.
Flagler (6-9 overall, 4-1 in the PBC) has won four-of-its-last-five games. The Saints defeated Shorter (24-6) and Montevallo (15-9) in games earlier this season at the Flagler Lacrosse Field.
The Saints feature a balanced scoring attack and are led by
Antanas Mikuzis. He is tied for the team-lead with 29 goals and has added 12 assists.
Trace McDonald has scored 24 goals and tallied a team-best 25 assists.
Logan Tobias, the reigning PBC Player of the Week, has netted 29 goals.
Jake Griffin leads the club with 70 ground balls while
Thomas Pritchard,
Blake Gonzalez, and
Ori Imirie each have 13 caused turnovers.
Nate Lehr has 150 saves and a 13.00 goals-against average.
