ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla.-
Paige Maseda led the Flagler College softball team with a two-run home run to secure a 2-1 win over Augusta University on Sunday afternoon at Flagler Field in a Peach Belt Conference game.
In the third inning, Vogel advanced to first base after being hit by a pitch. Maseda followed with a homer to left field, plating Vogel.
The Saints (18-31, 13-14) connected on five hits during the game.
Alex Vitola hit two singles, while
Courtney Robinson and
Mercedes Salinas each collected a single.
Madelyn Wise (4-5) tossed a complete game, giving up nine hits and one run. The junior had five strikeouts and induced four fly outs and nine ground outs.
The Jaguars (17-28, 4-23) added a run in the fifth inning after taking advantage of a Flagler error.
Alissa Bolinger (6-10) took the loss after pitching three innings and giving up three hits and two runs.
Next, the Saints will play in the Peach Belt Conference Tournament on April 28-30.
