ST. AUGUSTINE – Tyler Douglas led Flagler College in their game at No. 8 (USILA Division II Top 25) Rollins College this afternoon with three goals. A fast start by the Tars left the Saints with a 17-6 loss Saturday afternoon.
Flagler is now 1-5 overall while Rollins remains undefeated, 4-0.
The Tars started off the first quarter with a shutout, scoring four unanswered goals, three from Jack Johnstone.
The Saints were able to put up their first two goals to end the second quarter - one from Douglass and the second from
Jacob Hauser, to trail 6-2, Tars at the half.
Flagler didn't find the back of the net again until the fourth quarter where Douglass scored twice to complete a hat trick.
Trace McDonald and
Garrett McNulty also scored in the fourth quarter for the Saints.
Despite being outscored by the Tars, Saints goalie
Nate Lehr shined through defensively with 14 saves.
Up next for the Saints is an at home match up on March 7 at 7 p.m. against the University of Mount Olive
