ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – No. 21 (ITA Collegiate Division II rankings) Flagler College defeated Thomas Jefferson University 5-2 in a non-conference men's tennis match Friday afternoon at the Flagler Tennis Center.
Flagler improved to 8-4 while Jefferson slipped to 10-4.
The Saints won all three doubles matches to earn the team point.
Philipp Lemken and
Pavlos Parson opened by winning at No. 2 while
Fernando Bulnes and
Cedric Holzmann clinched the point at No. 3 doubles.
In singles play, No. 27
Nikita Tatyanin defeated Hubert Theriault in straight sets – 6-3 and 6-4.
Petr Cervinka, Lemken and Parson all won in straight sets as well.
Flagler hosts Washburn University on Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Flagler Tennis Center.
