Saints move up 10 spots to No. 21

TEMPE, Ariz. – The Flagler College men's tennis team jumped up 10 spots and is ranked No. 21 according to the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) Collegiate Tennis Rankings sponsored by Tennis-Point, which were released Wednesday afternoon.

Flagler is currently 7-4 overall and is back in action on Friday against Jefferson University at 3 p.m. at the Flagler Tennis Center.

The Saints are one of seven Peach Belt Conference teams in the top 50. Columbus State University is ranked No. 6 while Lander University (No. 10) and the University of North Georgia (No. 14) follow. Augusta University checks in at No. 27 while Georgia College & State University is at No. 31. Young Harris College rounds it out at No. 36.

Saint Leo University takes over at No. 1 while the University of Indianapolis slipped to No. 2. Valdosta State University (No. 3), Barry University (No. 4) and Ouachita Baptist University (No. 5) complete the top five.

Nikita Tatyanin moved up to No. 27 in singles play. He holds a 15-5 overall record and is 7-3 this spring. The doubles team of Jagger Ong-Patzwald and Tatyanin are ranked No. 41. They hold a 5-8 record this year and are 2-5 in the spring.

The next ranking will be released on March 22 as they will be released every week through June 5.
