MOBILE, Ala. – No. 31 (ITA Collegiate Division II rankings) Flagler College rolled to a 7-0 win over Spring Hill College in a non-conference men's tennis match Tuesday afternoon at the Copeland-Cox (Mobile) Tennis Center.
Flagler improved to 7-4 overall while Spring Hill dropped to 7-4.
The Saints rallied to take the doubles point after losing at No. 1 doubles.
Jacopo Denitto and
Petr Cervinka won handily, 6-2, and
Philipp Lemken and
Pavlos Parson's win at No. 2 clinched the team point.
Flagler won all six singles matches and all but one was settled in straight sets. Parson's win at No. 5 singles clinched the match as he triumphed over Will Huckell 6-2, 6-0. Lemken won his seventh singles match in a row and Denitto secured his sixth-straight win.
Flagler hosts Thomas Jefferson University on Friday at 3 p.m. at the Flagler Tennis Center.
