ST. AUGUSTINE – No. 2 (ITA Division II Collegiate Tennis Rankings) Nova Southeastern University edged No. 2 Flagler College 5-2 in a non-conference match at the Flagler Tennis Center Thursday afternoon.
Nova Southeastern remains undefeated at 4-0 while Flagler is even this year with a 1-1 record.
Flagler's No. 10-ranked doubles team of
Dana Heimen and
Nadja Meier won their match 7-5 over Eva Goncharov and Diane Follin-Arbelet.
The Saints earned their two points in singles as No. 6
Luisa Hrda defeated No. 8 Julie Razafindranaly in straight sets, 6-3 and 7-6 (2). No. 13 Meier rolled over No. 39 Natalie Espinal, 6-2 and 7-5.
Flagler hosts Hillsborough Community College in an exhibition tomorrow (Feb. 19) at 12 p.m. at the Flagler Tennis Center.
