Malik Bryant scored 26 points and
Jaylen Lemons added 23 more in Flagler College's 94-81 loss to USC Aiken in a Peach Belt Conference men's basketball game Saturday afternoon at Flagler Gymnasium.
USC Aiken improved to 17-7 overall and 10-4 in the Peach Belt. Flagler is now 11-14 overall and 5-9 in conference play.
The hot-shooting Pacers raced out to a 19-6 lead in the first half and took a 54-35 lead into the half.
The Saints fought hard in the second half and trimmed the Pacers lead to just six points (68-62) after
Tyler Collier's traditional three-point play, but USC Aiken maintained a double-figure lead for the last nine minutes of the game.
Bryant had a nearly flawless shooting day from the field for the Saints. He made 10-of-12 from the field, was a perfect 3-for-3 from long range and made 3-of-4 from the free throw line. Collier added six points and grabbed a game-high eight rebounds.
Tehree Horn scored a game-high 32 points on 13-of-19 shooting from the field. He sank six of the team's 16 three-pointers. Jalen McCoy added 20 points while Tyler Johnson finished with 15 points, eight assists and five rebounds. Jameel Rideout contributed 12 points.
The Pacers shot 52.9 percent from the field and sank 48.5 percent of their shots from 3-point range. USC Aiken made 10 treys in the first half and made 52.6 percent of its shots.
