JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Flagler College Athletics was proud to support and participate in the inaugural Nemours Children's Health "Kids Health Run and Walk" last Saturday (Dec. 2) outside EverBank Stadium.

The family-friendly event included a 5K, 10K, and a one-mile fun run with courses winding through scenic routes through downtown Jacksonville, along the St. Johns River and over the iconic Hart Bridge.

Proceeds go to the Nemours Children's Compassionate Care Fund, which restores the health of critically ill and injured children whenever the need is greatest.

Over 200 members of the Flagler Athletics family were at the event. Some competed while others helped in volunteering. Teams represented at the event were baseball, softball, men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse, men's tennis, volleyball, men's and women's cross country and track, women's basketball, men's soccer, women's soccer, cheerleading, and members of the athletics department staff.

Nemours Children's Health is one of the largest integrated pediatric health systems in the country.
