AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Flagler College volleyball team's season comes to a close, as top seed August University took down No. 4-seed Flagler 3-0 (16-25, 22-25, 23-25) in the semifinal round of the Peach Belt Conference Volleyball Tournament Friday afternoon at Christenberry Fieldhouse.
Augusta University improved to 26-4 overall and advances to Saturday's championship match against Lander University. Flagler has ended its season with a 8-19 record.
Jordan Berglin led the Saints with 12 kills, while
Lainee Mack and
Amelia Fitzpatrick posted both of their fourth double-doubles of the season. Fitzpatrick tabbed a season high in digs (14) and kills (7) and Mack posted a season high in digs (13). Senior
Edie Lamoreaux finished her last match for the Saints with 23 digs and a service ace. Middles
Molly Boyd and
Gracie Fleming both added four blocks of their own to the defensive effort.
Savannah Davis led the Jaguars in kills with 9. Janvier Buggs posted a double-double with 30 assists and 11 digs, leading the Jaguars in assists.
As a team, the Saints posted 36 kills, 69 digs, 8 blocks and 3 service aces.
