ST. AUGUSTINE - The Flagler College volleyball team celebrated their two seniors, Cameron Fenner and Edie Lamoreaux, Friday night in a three set loss to Augusta University (10-25, 23-25, 17-25) at Flagler Gymnasium on "Senior Day".
Augusta improved to 20-4 overall and 6-1 in the Peach Belt. Flagler is now 6-16 overall and 3-6 in league play.
The two seniors led the Saints in their respective categories. Fenner led with nine assists and was followed by Amelia Fitzpatrick with six. Lamoreaux dug up nine balls to lead the Saints and added two service aces to the mix. Molly Boyd had the high 5 kills for Flagler with a .308 hitting percentage. The duo of Fitzpatrick and Boyd added five blocks each.
Jazmyn Wheeler was the leader for the Jaguars with 14 kills. Janvier Buggs led with 29 assists, also adding 3 blocks and an ace.
Flagler will travel to Aiken, S.C. to face USC Aiken on Oct. 31 at 6 p.m. at the Convocation Center.
