ST. AUGUSTINE – Flagler College rallied from a seven-stroke deficit to win the 20th annual Flagler Fall Slam thanks to an even par 288 in the final round Tuesday afternoon at the Marsh Creek Country Club (par 72; 6,062 yards). The Saints finished the 36-hole tournament with a 9-over 585 (297-288).

Flagler defended its 2022 title and it was the program's third Flagler Fall Slam title (also won in 2014). This was the team's second consecutive tournament title, which is the first time that has happened in the history of the program.

Henriette Stranda had her second consecutive top-five finish as she shot an even par 144 (72-72) and finished in second place, just four shots back. Stranda had four birdies in today's final round and had six altogether. Jordyn Hodgson and Stella Jelinek finished in a tie for seventh place with a 4-over 148.

Shanya Arasu turned in a 6-over 150 (76-74) and finished in a tie for 12th place. Sophie Wheeler tied for 23rd place with a 9-over 153 (73-80). Flagler's individuals, Sloane Siebert and Victoria Veator, shot a 10-over and an 11-over, respectively.

Tabitha Hanely of Seminole State College of Florida topped the 76-woman field with a 4-under 140. She was the lone golfer to break par.

Seminole State held the lead after the first round, but shot a 13-over 301 in the final round to finish with a 15-over 591.

Flagler concludes the fall season with the Rollins Legends Invitational, Oct. 30-31, at Bradenton, Florida.

TOURNAMENT NOTES: Flagler's 585 was the lowest score since Nova Southeastern University ended with a 579 in 2018. Flagler's final round 288 is tied for the fourth-lowest score in the history of the tournament. Tabitha Hanely's first round 69 was the seventh lowest individual round in the tournament's history. Her two-round 140 was the lowest since Emma Thorngren of the University of Missouri-St. Louis posted the same score in 2019.
