DAHLONEGA, Ga. – Miguel Romero's goal with just over seven minutes left to go gave the University of North Georgia a 2-1 lead over Flagler College, which was the final score, in a Peach Belt Conference men's soccer match Saturday afternoon at the UNG Soccer Complex.
North Georgia improved to 8-5-2 overall and 4-2-2 in the Peach Belt. Flagler is now 4-7-4 overall and 3-4-2 in conference play.
Mattia Balzano's corner kick found an open Romero just in front of the goal box at the left post, and Romero's one touch with his right foot placed the ball in the upper left corner to break the tie.

th minute,
Marcus Hedemann intercepted a North Georgia pass near midfield, and after a short run, shuffled the ball over to
Toby McCallum at the top of the arc. McCallum spun by two defenders and fired a shot into the lower left corner of the goal to tie the game.
Michael Walsh scored the match's first goal, just 1:50 into the game, to give the Nighthawks the early lead.
Ryan Rivas recorded four saves for the Saints while Hazel Ley finished with two saves for the Nighthawks.
North Georgia outshot Flagler 11-9, but the Saints held a 7-4 edge in corner kicks.
Flagler wraps up its regular season at home next Saturday (Oct. 28) with USC Aiken at 4 p.m. at Saints Field. Prior to the start of the match, the seniors on the team will be recognized.
