AUGUSTA, Ga. – Flagler College shortstop
Mason Gray was selected as the Peach Belt Conference's Freshman of the Week for the period ending April 24, according to a release by conference officials this afternoon.
This is Gray's second freshman of the week honor (Feb. 22) and it is the fifth time this season a Flagler player has been the recipient of the award.
Gray led the Saints with a .611 batting average as Flagler went 4-0. The Lake City, Florida native led the team with 11 hits, eight runs scored, 14 total bases, a .778 slugging percentage, and a .682 on-base percentage. Gray stole 5-of-6 bases. He batted .615 in the three-game series at Claflin University as he collected eight hits and scored a team-high seven runs.
Flagler plays its final non-conference game on Wednesday at Valdosta State University.
