TEMPE, Ariz. — After spending two weeks at No. 10, the Flagler College men's tennis team has moved up one spot to No. 9, and three singles players have earned national rankings in this week's edition of the DII Men's Tennis ITA National Team Rankings sponsored by Tennis-Point, the organization released Thursday afternoon.

The No. 9 ranking is the highest team ranking the Saints have achieved all year. Nikita Tatyanin moved up nine spots to No. 32, while teammate Oscar Del Granado returned to the singles rankings, being tabbed No. 66. Philipp Lemken continued to stay in the rankings, coming in at No. 69. Flagler, currently sporting an 11-3 record, moved up one spot following a statement win against then-No. 18 Rollins College, who is now ranked No. 21, 6-1 last Sunday.

Tatyanin secured his team-high 12th singles win against the Tars after winning in three sets 6-7 (4), 6-2, 10-8. Del Granado returns to the rankings with an 8-6 record while playing first singles. He fell in a hard-fought battle with the then-No. 6 player in the nation in three sets 6-2, 6-7 (4), 5-10. Lemken held firm in his match against the Tars to notch win No. 11 on the season, defeating his opponent 6-2, 6-2 at fourth singles.

Flagler returns to the Flagler Tennis Center this coming Sunday, April 17 for a meeting of top-15 teams when No. 13 Lander University comes to town for a Peach Belt Conference showdown at 1 p.m.
