TEMPE, Ariz. – Following a 2-0 week, the Flagler College men's tennis team climbed nine spots to No. 10 in the latest edition of the Division II Men's ITA Collegiate tennis rankings sponsored by Tennis-Point, the organization announced on Thursday.

This is the highest ranking the team has achieved under head coach Jonas Piibor and the highest ranking since the Saints opened last season at No. 9.

Individually, Philipp Lemken, who holds a 13-6 record in singles, moved up one spot to No. 61 in the singles rankings, while the doubles team of Cedric Holzmann and Nikita Tatyanin are sitting at No. 48 nationally.

Flagler opened last week with its second win against a ranked opponent, easily dispatching last week's No. 20 Augusta University, who moved down to 22 in this week's rankings 5-2, to open Peach Belt Conference play.

The strong play continued against the University of Montevallo two days later, which resulted in a 6-1 victory for Flagler. That match featured dominant performances from the top of the lineup, with first through third singles all winning in straight sets and dropping a combined seven games.

The newly minted top-10 team faces its toughest test thus far on Saturday, traveling to Miami Shores for a face off with No. 2 Barry University, with doubles play set to begin on 11 a.m.
