WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.—The Flagler College women's track and field team returned to Winston-Salem to compete in the Camel City Invite.
Flagler shared the track with NCAA Division I schools including the University of Texas at Austin, Wake Forest University, the University of Kentucky and NC State, the reigning D1 cross country national champions.
The Saints had 10 runners compete in two events, with five competing in the mile run and the other five in the 800m.
In the 800m,
Maddi Hood and
Madison Peele cracked the top-25, with Hood earning a 21
st place finish with a time of 2:25.89, and Peele finished in 25
th place with a final mark of 2:28.31.
Isabella Santeufemio finished in 36
th place with a final time of 2:37.76, while
Emily Manning and
Madeline Rodriguez posted times of 2:44.69 and 2:46.46.
In the
one mile,
Megan Churchill finished in 23
rd place with a time of 5:15.84.
Monika Kubai earned a 26
th place finish with a time of 5:17.74 while classmate
Marissa Kempf posted a time of 5:22.87.
Enola Savel and
Jessie Mescal posted times of 5:23.26 and 5:27.74.
The Saints once again will return to Winston-Salem to compete in the JDL DMR Invitational on Feb. 18-19.
