ST. AUGUSTINE –
Jordan Berglin tied her career high with 20 kills as Flagler College swept (25-14, 25-20, 25-23) Lander University in a Peach Belt Conference volleyball match Friday night at Flagler Gym.
Flagler has now won four matches in a row and has not lost a set since Sept. 17. The Saints are now 9-6 overall and 4-3 in the Peach Belt. Lander dropped to 13-5 overall and 6-3 in conference play. The loss puts the Bearcats a half-game behind first-place Augusta University in the standings.
The last time Berglin finished with 20 kills was at USC Aiken, Oct. 8, 2021. Her .400 hitting percentage tonight was a career best. Berglin had six errors on 35 swings.
Molly Boyd added nine kills and hit .389 for the Saints.
Kennedy Muff had her fourth double-double of the season with 32 assists and 10 digs. She added four kills and three total blocks to her line.

Katie Miller and Olivia Dow each had eight kills for Lander. Madilyn Reed notched a double-double with 22 assists and 10 digs. Patricia Pantoja had a team-high 13 digs.
Despite not having played in 13 days, Flagler opened the match on a 6-2 run. After fending off a spurt by Lander, the Saints would erupt and hold a 20-9 lead before settling on a 25-14 win. Flagler hit a blistering .355 with 13 kills with two errors on 31 swings. Lander was limited to a .053 mark. Berglin had five kills and hit .714 in the set.
Leading 12-11 in the second set, one of Berglin's seven kills in the set sparked a 6-2 run to give the Saints enough separation in route to a 25-20 win.
The Bearcats held a 20-14 lead in the third set, but the Saints rallied thanks to a 9-3 run to tie the match at 23 on Berglin's 20
th kill of the match. Boyd followed with a kill to set up match point and a solo block by
Jordan Norwood ended the match.
Flagler will begin a seven-match road swing on Friday, Oct. 14 at Augusta.
