ST. AUGUSTINE - The No. 2 seeded Flagler College women's soccer team edged No. 7 Young Harris College, 2-1, in double overtime Thursday afternoon to advance to the Peach Belt Conference Semifinals.
 
The Saints (11-3-2, 8-1-1) got on the board in the 28th minute. Josefine Nilsen was wide open in the box when she shot from 10 yards out, netting her fifth goal of the season to give Flagler a 1-0 lead.
 
Young Harris (4-11-0, 4-6-0) answered back in the 66th minute to knot the game, 1-1. Morgan Kasel sent in a corner kick and connected with Thea Juul who passed the ball up Maya Cramer, allowing Cramer to score from five yards out.
 
Flagler took 17 shots in the second half, while Young Harris took three shots. Neither team was able to score in regulation, sending the match into two 10-minute overtime periods.
 
Andrea Fernandez called the game in the 93rd minute when she launched the ball 30 yards out on a free kick into the back of the net to seal the 2-1 victory for the Saints.
 
Flagler had the advantage in shots (31-5), shots on goal (15-2) and corner kicks (16-2). Havyn Isaac had 13 saves in the net for the Mountain Lions, while Madison North made one stop for Flagler.
 
The Saints play No. 3 University of North Georgia, Saturday at 1 p.m. in the PBC Semifinal held at Saints Field.
