FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The No. 24 Flagler College women's soccer team fell on the road, 2-0, at Nova Southeastern University Wednesday evening.
The match got off to a slow start, with the first 45 minutes ending scoreless. The Saints (9-3-2) took seven shots in the first half while the Sharks took nine shots. Each goalkeeper made four stops in the first half to maintain the 0-0 score.
Nova Southeastern (8-1-3) got on the board in the 82nd minute, with a goal by Lily Troung who was assisted by Luana Grabias. The Sharks finalized the 2-0 score with a goal five minutes later by Dani Correa.
NSU had the advantage in shots (20-14) and shots on goal (10-7) while Flagler had a (12-2) edge in corner kicks.
Madison North made eight saves in the net while Stefane Rosa made seven saves for the Sharks.
Flagler returns home Saturday, Oct. 22 for its final regular-season game at 12 p.m. on Saints Field.
