AMERICUS, Ga. - The Flagler College men's soccer team earned its third straight Peach Belt Conference win after blanking Georgia Southwestern State University 2-0 Wednesday night.

The Saints (8-3-3, 7-2-2) took a 1-0 lead in the first half after
Paul Hansen netted his sixth goal of the season on an assist from
Jesse van Krimpen in the 37th minute.Â

The Hurricanes (5-7-4, 2-6-4) took an early shot in the first minute of the second half in an attempt to even the score, but
Tirso Trueba made the stop.
Max Lambertz finalized the 2-0 victory for the Saints in the 50th minute on an assist from
George Winser.Â

Flagler set the pace of the game holding an advantage in shots (13-4), shots on goal (6-3) and corner kicks (4-1). Trueba made three saves in the net and earned his fourth shutout of the season.Â

The Saints return home for their final regular season match Saturday, Oct. 22 at 3 p.m. on Saints Field.
